The word doula comes from the ancient Greek word meaning ‘women serving women’.  Doula’s are known for their peaceful and encouraging spirit to the mother during her birthing experience.  Along with this natural characteristic, doula’s are now formally trained to help the mother develop a birth plan and then encourage and support the mother with non medical assistance throughout labor, delivery and immediate postpartum period.

My passion is to do just that.  I am here to help support, inform and be a calming presence through such a miraculous event.  My hope is to empower the mother so she can have the birth she desires.
